LBC HISTORY

In October 1964, Baptist missionary couple, Carl and Mary Yarnell arrived in Jesselton (Kota Kinabalu) under the sponsorship of C. B. Tsien. A Bible Study Group was promptly started and in 21st March 1965, Jesselton Baptist Curch was organised with 12 chartered members.

With the help of funds from FMB, the present 1 acre plot of land was purchased and the parsonage cum chapel built. On 7th April 1968, the church was renamed Likas Baptist Curch to identify with the location, Likas
